David Jiménez


Born in Alcalá de Guadaira (Sevilla) in 1970, he graduated in Fine Arts at the Complutense University in Madrid. Since 1990 he has continuously worked on his own projects which have appeared in books, exhibitions and audio-visual screenings and shown in many places in Spain and abroad.

In June 2019 the first retrospective exhibition of his work was held in the Canal de Isabel II exhibition hall in Madrid with the title UNIVERSOS (UNIVERSES). He was awarded the Fotógrafo Revelación prize (Best Newcomer) at PHotoEspaña 99 and the Premio de las Artes de la Villa de Madrid (City of Madrid Arts Prize) in 2008, and was artist in residence at the Spanish Royal Academy in Rome in 2016-17. To date he has published seven monographic books, including Infinito (Infinity) in 2000, regarded as one of the most outstanding Spanish photobooks of recent years, Versus in 2014 and Aura in 2018.

His work can be found in numerous Spanish public and private collections, such as the MAPFRE Foundation, the MACUF and the DKV Art collection among others.

He lives and works in Madrid.

Carmen Dalmau


With a degree in Modern and Contemporary History and Art History from the Universidad Autónoma in Madrid, she teaches art and aesthetics on the Master’s course at the Escuela de Fotografía Centro de Imagen (EFTI), (photography and film school) in Madrid.

She combines her teaching and research work with her activities as a conference speaker, exhibition curator and contemporary art critic. She is director of the Galería Cero in Madrid which specialises in contemporary photography and writes the photography blog Ante vuestros ojos (Before your eyes).

She also contributes to the photography magazine Clavoardiendo.

Pepe Font de Mora


Director of the Fundació Foto Colectania Foundation, Barcelona. He was the founder and director of the Librería Foto-Galería Railowsky [Railowsky Photo-gallery bookshop] in Valencia between 1985 and 2001.

As director of the Fundació Foto Colectania [Foto Colectania Foundation], he is responsible for new acquisitions and has curated several exhibitions, including: Brassaï/Colom Resonances (2003), Private Lives (2004), Journeys (2007), Field Works (2009), Leopoldo Pomés Barcelona 1957, (2013), Photobooks Here and Now (2014),  Face to face. Portraits in the Foto Colectania Collection (2016).

Irene de Mendoza


A graduate in Humanities from the Universitat Autònoma of Barcelona. In 2006 she obtained a Diploma de Estudios Avanzados y la Suficiencia Investigadora en Estética y Teoría del Arte (Diploma in Advanced Studies and Research on Aesthetics and Art Theory) at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra. She has worked at Fundación Foto Colectania since 2005, taking over as Artistic director in 2010.

She has curated several exhibitions such as, Transitions (2014), about the photographer Manel Armengol, Joan Colom. Álbum (2011), Fotolibros. Photobooks. Here and Now (2014); ¡The temptation to exist (2015), on the photographs of Christer Strömholm and Anders Petersen; The Photobook Phenomenon (2017) and  The Movida, Chronicle of a Turmoil (2019).

Mariano Gijón


A graduate in Audio-visual Communication at the Complutense University in Madrid, he is currently Director of Experiences at B the travel brand Xperience.

His life has always been closely linked to photography: after doing an Advanced Studies course in Artistic Photography and working on various personal projects he became Head of Communication at Fnac for 5 years, running workshops and photographic courses that were held there.

In 2015 he joined the Communications team of the relaunched B the travel Brand offices, developing and working on different exhibition projects of the B the travel brand Xperience space in Madrid.
